Ten Things to Kick Start Transformation

We're nearing the year's midpoint, a great time to reflect on our progress and envision the rest of the year for our lives and careers.

How many things are you holding onto that might not be helping you anymore?

Old habits, ingrained patterns, misguided beliefs about ourselves or our capabilities, others’ opinions of who we are, and those self-defeating negative thoughts can significantly hinder becoming the person you truly want to be, both personally and professionally.

When we purge these outdated thoughts and behaviors, we make room for fresh starts, leave the past behind, and embrace transformation. 

All of this sounds great, but you may be asking: how do we bring this to life? 

Here are ten things to kick start your transformation journey: 

1. Identify some areas where you'd love to change or grow. 

2. Establish a vision or end goal for yourself. 

3. List the daily habits or behaviors that hold back your health. 

4. Acknowledge any negative feelings you might be experiencing. 

5. Consider how you truly want to feel. 

6. Create a list of new daily habits you’d like to adopt to replace the old habits and patterns. 

7.  Recognize some core beliefs you hold about yourself that may not serve you anymore. 

8.  List the beliefs you currently subscribe to and how you’d like to reframe them. 

9.  Make the decision today to be purposeful with both your thoughts and actions. 

10.Write out your plan that includes daily thoughts, feelings and actions that will help you reach your goal.
